Restore function for fully discharged batteries
Most chargers protected against reverse polarity will not recognize, and therefore will not charge, a battery that has been discharged to zero Volts, or so.
However, the Blue Power Charger will try to charge a fully discharged battery with a low current, and it will resume normal charging once sufficient voltage has been reached across the battery terminals.
Rehabilitation
A lead-acid battery that has not been sufficiently charged or has been discharged for days or weeks will deteriorate due to sulphation. If the problem is taken in time, the sulfation can be partially reversed by charging the battery with a weak current to a higher voltage.
Usable as food
The charger can power DC loads if no battery is connected.
